Eight years after he won gold and silver at the Olympic Games in Rio, Ukrainian start Oleg Verniaiev is ready to lead his team to proud success at this summer’s Olympic Game in Paris.

The 30-year-old Verniaiev, who placed second all-around and first on parallel bars in Rio, is also aiming to add to his collection of Olympic medals in Paris, for which he helped Ukraine qualify as a team during last year’s World Championships in Antwerp.

In addition to his Olympic honors, Verniaiev has won five individual world championships medals, including gold on parallel bars at the 2014 Worlds, silver on parallel bars at the 2015 Worlds, 2017 Worlds and 2018 Worlds, and bronze in the all-around at the 2019 Worlds.
